You have two hours before you need to start prepping for your flight; teeth brushing, final packing, etc. Do you (a) sleep (b) read a book / watch television / stay up? Keep in mind that it is night, and that you will be starting your final prep work at 2:30am. Your taxi comes at 3:45am.
I chose to sleep, but I realize that this is not for everyone. T, for instance would choose to stay up.
I would prefer to be a zombie rather than unable to keep myself from walking into traffic. Traffic, bad. When I was in undergrad, I would have chosen to stay up. Has your decision changed over the years?

Date: 2008-01-28 01:17 pm (UTC)The directions said to take the antihistamine every 12 hours so I did. It caused me not to sleep at all. I refused to drive heavy machinery at work because of it and I still wonder why I drove to work. I felt awake but my mind went completely blank off and on. At least I lived very close to work then and was only on the highway for less than a mile. That sounds silly but it was the only way over the river.

Date: 2008-01-28 06:10 pm (UTC)however, i also pack everything i can before i go to sleep, so that all i have to do when i get up is shower, stuff my toiletries into my ziploc, stuff my ziploc into an outer pocket of my luggage, put on the clothes laid out neatly on the bed in order of attire (helps to put underwear on before pants; on 2 hours of sleep, this may not be obvious to me), and leave.
