out and about

Monday night I had dinner with some of my students.  Spanish Tapas, with one of them being from Spain.   Between the four of us, we are reasonably convinced we consumed 5 bottles of wine.  FIVE!!!!  I was desperately grateful that this morning the conversation centered a certain amount on our surprise that none of us woke up with a hangover.  I'm sure I had more to drink than I should have, but I am also sure that I did not finish a bottle of wine by myself.

Tonight I had dinner with one of my students (the others being on the way home).  The restaurant looked like a TGI Fridays, but served quite decent Indian food for outrageous prices.  I had cider.  Nice.

*understatement* Yes.

To further confuse matters, on the outside it looked like a typical European bar, advertising beer and food. But the inside was... Yeah.
