Leaving France
Jan. 18th, 2008 09:59 pmContrary to my CST computer stamp, it is about 5am on Saturday morning and I'm packed and ready to go meet my taxi. Today I'm flying from France to Scotland. You would think "Hey! Two countries! Relatively near each other, how hard can it be to fly from one major city (say, Paris) to another (say, Glasgow)?" Evidently, very. It is going to take me three flights.
I anticipate arriving at my destination airport hungry, dehydrated, and cranky. I can work to avoid the hungry by packing food bars in my carry on, but the other two are more difficult to control. Evidently, Montpellier airport in the early morning lacks women's toilets, water fountains, and shops inside security selling water.
Joy.
