Christmas music

Let me think of the many things in the world which are far worse than 2 small children singing (badly) a single Christmas song while I wait at my bank. 

• Waterboarding
• Having my fingernails pulled out
• Giving a professional presentation to 200 people.... and have the projector and computer completely fritz out, leaving to give the presentation cold
• Going to a bar.  Alone.
• Being stranded in the Chicago airport overnight, with maybe a flight out tomorrow morning.
• Being on a full 12 hour flight, in economy class, and having the stranger next to me insist on falling asleep on my shoulder.
• Finding myself at a music concert, without earplugs.  No, wait, I think I would prefer this one.

Can I mention that the 2 children do not know the lyrics?  But they make up for it in sheer enthusiasm, by singing the same portions of three lines over and over and over and over and...

We gave my niece (10) and nephew (6) a real piano for Christmas. Both of them are taking to it like ducks to water. However, my niece had only mastered three songs before we got there. The primary melody line of "Ode to Joy" gets very old after a while.

On the other hand, my niece also knows the entire Deck the Halls - all three (four?) verses, which was more impressive.
