The slide show

In a large office building, thanking my students for the pleasure of their company during class.
*flick*
Sitting at a table in a high-end French restaurant in downtown Ottawa, listening to executives talk about traveling and life. Trying not to embarrass myself.
*flick*
Greeting T enthusiastically at the airport.
*flick*
Sitting on P and J's couch with T. Tired. Drinking the equivalent of wine coolers and talking about the technical details necessary in an around-the-world cruise.
*flick*
Watching J's face light up to see the famous Canadian flying demo team (fighter jets, I think) fly by the window next to our brunch table at Chateau Laurier.
*flick*
The patient look on T's face as I go shopping-crazy in P's fav chocolate shop.
*flick*
Hugging T to keep warm as we watch the Ottawa Canada Day fireworks display.
*flick*
2:30am The slow realization that the loud beeping is not originating from the PDA in my hands, nor from the hotel clock in T's hands, but rather from the travel alarm clock sitting undisturbed on the nightstand. The sinking thought, 'Oh yeah, it is SUPPOSED to be doing that. ....Ugh.'
*flick*
"Welcome to Chicago. The current time is..." Hmmm... Thinking, 'No, for once I won't even bother to change my watch back to CST. I'll only be here a day, anyway.'
*flick*
Standing on the curb with luggage in both hands, looking up. "Wow. This is Texas?! Not that I'm complaining, but shouldn't it be a lot hotter than this at noon in early July?"
*flick*
"Sweetie, we are both beat. But I'm willing to go see the new Die Hard if you are. We should still be able to make it to bed by 7pm."
*flick*
Sitting in an empty cube across from T's cube, punching this entry into my PDA... Wishing I could have slept late, for internet access... But if I want a ride to the airport, this is the only way to be there to catch my flight.
