indigo_rose99First weekend home with my husband since.... counting.... going back farther... April. Seriously. April. Haven't been home for a weekend with my husband since APRIL!!!! Yes, this is the middle of June. Ok, that is Too Long. Officially.
I'm home for a few days, and it is quite lovely. Have I mentioned how fond I am of my sheets? I love my sheets. They are so nice... My last night in NC, I was missing my sheets, my husband, my pillows, my fan, and... my AC. Because, you see, about midnight the hotel AC started making weird noises. And sometime about 3 am it was making popping noises. And then the crackling. And then the burning smell. The STRONG burning smell. I turned it off. And the act of turning off an AC may not seem like a big deal to you people who live in Northern Climates... But think about the dead of winter when the snow is piled up and suddenly your heater stops. Me losing AC in the middle of the night is like that. I just get less sympathy from the neighbors.
I'm so glad to be home. I get to be here Six More Days. Wow. (that was a touch sarcastic -- As if 6 days is a long time? When we both know it isn't...)
