indigo_rose99According to my Lonely Planet book on Ireland, Galway is a great place to go shopping. Lots of little shops, year round, even Sundays.
According to me, Galway is just another Irish city that is 1.5 hours away and no parking. I drove there, circled the city twice, read all of the signs threatening dire consequences if I dared to park without some sort of posted paper in my window, found zero parking spaces and no means of buying said piece of paper, and drove back. I did not even see a single parking garage. Seriously. I felt totally gyped.
