Ring of Kerry pictures.
I'd been driving for hours.  It felt like more hours than it actually was.  I'd been terrified, my right leg was tired (accelorator foot), but I had not reached the level of crankiness.  I saw this through the trees, immediately pulled over in front of a private house, and ran back to take a picture.  I had to climb through trees on the side of the road to do it.  A small path looked like I was not the first.

If you are wondering what the brown dots on the green grass are...? Yes, they probably are.

I decided to go artistic.  The wood, the fence...?  Yeah, I know.  But still, I liked the whole thing against the water.  The wood appeared to be washed-up flotsam.  Which was strange, because we were REALLY far from the water.
wood in interesting shapes, grass, ocean... a pretty view

This is a good section of the road.  See the edge of the road? Very nice.  You can also see the very typical shart turn at the edge of the picture.  You can guess from the water why I pulled over.  See what I meant about the nice clear day?  Ireland is so often cloudy, I had to appreciate the clear sky.
Beautiful cliffs & ocean. Oh, and a slice of the road I was driving on.

So I'm driving along, cursing myself for missing a really amazing view, and I see smoke ahead.  "How odd..." I think.  "Oh, well.  Probably nothing."  But then I get closer.  And I realize that the smoke is coming from beside and below the road.  And that it COMPLETELY COVERS the road. I took a deep breath and tried hard to think "Don't hit anything, don't hit anything." thoughts as I drove through it.  Seriously, I could see NOTHING while I was inside it.  This is a pull-over on the other side, looking back at the road.   Yes, that is water in the far left distance.
