The London Heathrow experience
Dec. 15th, 2006 09:11 amSo, there I was, driving down the M4 (I've always wanted to say that)... OK, I was being passed, but I was going 70! I was comfortable in the left lane (M4? Clue=London!).
You may tease me about my being-early ways, but circling Heathrow for the second time (NOT a small airport!), I was blessing them profusely. And alternately cursing the fact that I couldn't find the Hertz rental car return. Tiny stupid signs. Though I'm convinced that my initial circle just didn't HAVE access to Hertz.
The security line was really as long as they say. And it was pretty obvious I arrived before the REAL rush. Yep, minimum of three hours before the flight.
Amusing note: My ziploc bag was inadequate in some upspecified way. They made me remove my liquids from mine and put them in their bag (which looked almost identical to my eyes).
Much better organized process than Shannon. Busy, but they know what they are doing.
