My first Saturday that does not require travel or packing in a long time... Today I luxuriously slept late (8am!) and woke to wander the city.

It was my first Metro ride. I have 10 tickets, and the logistics are easy. Easier than the many zones of Copenhagen or the utterly mystifying puzzle of correct tickets for the trains of Boston. The train line next to the hotel even runs to most of the famous places I was told to visit.

So today I took pictures of the Arch de Triumph. I walked down the road of many trees. I had a strange bubble tea. Delicious! The bubbles were filled with a liquid flavoring.

I took pictures of the place de la Concorde. It was very...erect.

Then I wandered in search of crepes or Nivan. I found the crepes first. It was my first experience with ordering from prix-fixe menu. It was a multicourse meal. Alcoholic drink, savory crepe, cider, sweet crepe. Yes! This is why I volunteered for the Paris trip. Crepes!
