I've been spending time thinking about what I love about my new house.

Windows. I love windows! Our new house has a lot of windows. I told the builder that I would be spending a great deal of time in my office, so I wanted windows. Big windows! So I have big windows. My office is on a corner of the house, so one double window faces the same direction as the front door, and other (3!) wondows face out over the driveway. So I can totally watch people coming up to the house....

Anyway, my front facing window got blinds before we moved in (money, custom blinds that do not fit and leave a gap for people to look in, so we moved them from the master bedroom.....), but the other three have been covered with paper. For weeks, paper. Paper so nosy neighbors (and yes, they really ARE that nosy) cannot look in or contractors take a long looks at our possessions.... But I've been getting claustrophobic. Last weekend my office got blinds. There is so much light! I did the happy light dance yesterday and today. I actually had to turn up the brightness on my computer screen!

So it turns out that when it rains, the water makes puddles on the area in front of the garage. I had no idea! And our neighbors drive weirdly up and down the road.... Sometimes they just sit at the end of our driveway like they are thinknig about turning in. So strange!

I'm totally stalking my neighborhood. Any day now I'm going to turn into That Neighbor. ...Where did I unpack those binoculars?

REVENGE WILL BE MINE!!!! Now, how do I manage to make my boots REALLY DIRTY and then walk all through THEIR houses when they are not there?!

Windows are why I work from home at just about any other location than my desk, which, due to furniture constraints, faces a wall. The dining room lets me watch the deer go by and see who is coming up the driveway. The great room has views of the goats and the garden. Why would I want to be staring at a wall?
