bank/mortgage company: We need a survey before we can sign the final closing paperwork.
Me: Ack! I hate packing AND trying to find a company that will sell me a survey. Which was NOT on the original list of expenses!
Survey company: Now that we have taken your money, we need a "title commitment." Which, according to google, is a document that you will only have after you close.
Me: ?!???? You know that I need the survey to close. And now you say you need the closing papers to do the survey?!!!?! Bank/mortgage company, do you have any idea what they want or why?
Survey company: It will have an Appendix A and Appendix B....
Me: Well, I found one that sounds right in the paperwork for the construction loan. *30 minutes of scanning, compiling jpg documents and emailing*
Survey company: Could you please make it a pdf? We can't read your document.
Me: AAAAAARGH!!!!!! *FIST OF DEATH*
bank/mortgage company: Here is a pdf of what they want.
Me: Trying not to break keyboard in most polite "here is your document" to survey company....
