House progress and life

indigo_rose99The tile floors are in. I love them. Love the new countertops (a wonderful suggestion from overclkd). Love the tile backsplash in the kitchen. I love the cabinets, though I'm so-so on the color (a little more orange than I was prepared for).
T has been spending all his "spare" time at the new house installing closet infrastructure: hanging rods and shelving. I'm thrilled with what he is doing. We will have more closet space than we currently have. And we have some very logical ideas for how to break it up. I like it a lot.
We still lack faucets, carpet, some of the lighting, a driveway. There are quite a few mistakes that need to be fixed. Doors that are unpainted or damaged somehow. A broken window, A windowsill that was rained on and the paint peeled up. Medicine cabinet doors installed backwards. The driveway is framed the wrong shape, not what the builder had in mind at all.
I'm still packing, though it is tough going at this point. The easy stuff is mostly packed. *sigh*
I miss my gym membership. Life feels "off" without going to the gym every morning.
