Yesterday we dropped off the master bedroom fan, shower tile, and plane tie-downs at our builder. He walked though the new house with us to examine the new cabinets. The cabinets are quite lovely.... Except for the fact that they cabineted over no less than two electrical outlets (one for frig, one for the dishwasher) and the water inlet for the frig. The water inlet is completely invisible.... But of course we have pictures and our builder was just.... very politely pissed at the cabinet installer. I think my favorite was his reaction to our long-awaited medicine cabinets in the master bath. I was trying futilely to open mine and I started hearing this sound.... Which I later realized was his teeth grinding. He said, "I TOLD them to make sure they installed the doors the right way!" And that is when I realized that they had installed the medicine cabinet doors backward. Both of them. Which must have been an Extra Special amount of trouble, beause the doors would have been blocking the installer from actually seeing the installation!

So our cabinets are in. The builder indicated that he expects the flooring in the next week. And they tell me that when the floors are in, it is usually considered a 30 day signal before closing.

Ack! Ack! Must pack faster! FASTER!!!!! I'M NOT READY!!!!
