Remember a year or so ago the balloon ride we took? We just saw that balloon on the news. And that was our pilot. No survivors.

T is starting to feel cursed. Two helicopters, and now a balloon crashed after he flew them.

Wow, that is horrible! I can't imagine them not noticing power lines in places where they often land. Nor can I imagine the pilot ignoring basic safety checklists. So maybe maintenance was neglected? It's so hard to believe. How terrible!

Two helicoptors? I only know about Uncle Don's. Yikes!

I don't know what happened that caused them to crash. But T and I both thought that during our flight he was very very careful. Careful of power lines, careful of trees, careful of everything. It didn't seem like he was careful just for us, it seemed like he was careful as part of his job. He several times during our flight erred on the side of caution. I don't know what happened during his last flight, but it had to be extraordinary.
