Files be gone!

indigo_rose99You know those Mean Things I said about my brother G and his tendency to keep massive number of files that he didn't need?
I take them all back. I am such a hypocrit!
After posting yesterday about cleaning out files, I started to dream of moving the two remaining file boxes of G's files from our living room floor into two empty file drawers in my office. So I opened one of the drawers and started to go through it.
Evidently when I left my last three jobs, I didn't carefully go through my files and clean, I just pulled all files from work and tossed them in a file drawer. Embarrassingly, I had a LOT of.... transparancies. Remember those? Yeah. *blush*
In a few hours I recycled 1.5 feet of paper. I put 3 inches of paper on the shredder to be shredded. And I have about 5 inches of paper to be scanned and then recycled. The scanned stuff is articles I wrote for work ages ago. I want the articles, but having it in soft copy is actually more useful than in a file drawer that I clearly have not gone through in more than 15 years.
