Weekend with my brother

We sent to see my brother. I have never seen a human being so thin.

It has been a while. In October, we tried to visit but couldn't get a hotel due to the city-wide festival. We tried in November, but he told us not to come because he was feeling pretty bad.

I got the feeling that his fiance talked him into letting us come this time, encouraging him to see me again. She thinks this is it. From watching him, I think this is it, too. He is sleeping a LOT. Most of the time. He looks like my mother-in-law, my college roomate... both just before they gave up. He has been holding on with sheer willpower. She thinks that willpower is all that is keeping him going. He has not given up. But... it will only carry him so far. His body is simply giving out.

I said goodbye.

Aw, Diana, it's a tough time. I'm sorry your brother is still having trouble accepting his horrible fate. He's done an amazing job of fighting back.
