That feeling of doom...

Traveling for work. Traveling for family. Ugh. I'm tired already.
Yesterday my aunt/uncle asked us to come help them in Florida before the end of the year. Which ordinarily I would love. They are great people. But it is a 3 day drive (assuming 10-12 hours each day).
T really really really wants to see his nieces before the end of the year. That is a plane trip.
And we need to spend more time with my brother G. Still alive, but not doing so well.
I have 3-4 more weeks of work travel before Christmas (non-consecutive) to California and Mexico.
According to my math, this all translates to 6-8 weeks of travel between now and the end of the year.
T asked me yesterday when we are going to write the Christmas letter. Usually we write it in early November, polishing over Thanksgiving. That isn't going to happen this year. And today he asked me when we are going to start wrapping gifts.
T says it is years like this that build character. I believe we have built sufficient character. Can we return some?
