Home and sleeping
Sep. 24th, 2014 08:33 amHome and for more than 2.5 days! Whew!
So I'm not going to travel insanely for a while. At least several weeks.
It is weird. The weather has turned pleasant at home. Since my brain is now thinking it is January (yes, I'm behind on Life), this is a little strange. The outide world almost matches my inside world and that creates its own dissonence. I guess I've come to expect everything to not match. Not sure when that happened.
I am enjoying all of the things about being home. Seeing the husband. Unpacking and not immediately repacking. Considering cooking.
I think I have decided that the mattress I bought last Black Friday (yes, it has been almost a year, and I have only just now slept on it enough to form a firm opinion) is really great. More comfortable than hotel mattresses. I think I actually sleep better on it. And it can't be just because I'm home, because I'm not sure my body is set on a particular mattress at this point.
Though my mother had this theory about sleeping and the direction.... Her theory was that there are magnetic waves traveling the earth and that we become accostomed to sleeping while they travel through us in a particular direction. So if you turned your bed 90 degrees, the waves would pass through you in a different direction and you would not sleep as well. We won't talk about the whole turning over in bed thing.
