The Eskimos have how many words for snow? Yeah, well Hawaiians should have at least half that for rain.
It was raining and we had no reservations. We slept in, went to the gym, and had a leisurely breakfast. But the forecast said it would only be more rain. So we stripped down the water- unfriendly items and set out from the ship. I had my raincoat and Tilly hat. I gave T my umbrella. The silly man forgot to pack his raincoat!
It turns out there was a reason for all of those people trying desperately to get us in a bus or cab. And the labyrinth route out of the dock: Everything of interest is at least an hour of walking away. In the rain. *sigh* We walked it.
Our quest for apple bananas was rewarded. We bought an entire bunch and ate them in what looked like the local homeless hangout. Yummm, apple bananas...
The farmers market also yielded a reasonably priced and attractive Hawaiian shirt for T.
