geeky coat, an update
Jan. 25th, 2014 05:37 amPacking for CT was interesting. I looked up the weather this time of year and expected 20-35F. I packed my geeky travel coat, a hat, gloves, scarf, earmuffs, fleece, and my usual travel jacket for airplanes.
The geeky travel coat was NOT appropriate for 0-8F, a stiff wind, and snowing over work clothes. NOT WARM ENOUGH. This coat is best in the 40-50F range.
That said, I don't think I would have packed any differently even if I had known about the snowstorm and that the wind would go right through the coat, my work jacket and two shirts. The convenience of having my water bottle, wallet, phone, hat, gloves, earmuffs and scarf all in pockets in the coat made it all SO worth it.
Still completely LOVE it for travel. *love, love, love*
