By my calculation, on the graph that crossover happened in about Summer 1981.
I disagree with the timing of the crossover. I was still embarrassed in 1982. And 1983. And 1984. And 1985.... And right up until I left for college. A month after which, my parents bought a TV.
I think I was smug in 1993. I'm not disagreeing with the sentiment, just the accuracy of the timing.
