In my defense, I'm traveling to a customer site. And if I bought toilet paper, it would likely be more expensive than what I stole from work. So they would pay for it either way.
But seriously, there is me in the women's stall, stuffing half-rolls under my jacket and then sneaking back to my classroom to shove them in my backpack before anyone can see...
Can you imagine what would happen if I got caught?!
Oh, right. "IR, WHY are you reduced to stealing toilet paper from work? Doesn't the spiffy hotel you are staying in provide it?"
Well, no.
So the hotel gave me 1.5 rolls when I arrived Sunday. They do not empty the trash, do dishes, change the sheets, or otherwise clean until after I leave on Friday. And that includes... giving me additional toilet paper. And I'm sure if I were male this would not be a big deal. But I'm not.
Do you really want to get into the conversation about how much toilet paper we should use? ...Yeah, leave that one alone.
Have I asked for more toilet paper at the hotel front desk? Well, no. I imagine that they will insist on charging me the $5 fee as if they were "Refreshing" my room, but I have not actually checked.
....I feel so ashamed. Well, at least a little bit.
