In full Texas summer, I often shower three times a day, sometimes more. In packing for this trip, I thought it would be about the same. Though sandals save me from needing too many pairs of socks, I still needed underwear. And lots of shirts and shorts. So I packed more woolite packets than I ever have brought traveling (3 is typical. This time I think I brought 8+). I packed quick-dry shirts. And I purchased those crazy-expensive Ex-Officio underwear that claim you can wash them in the stream, hang them on a branch, and wear dry underwear every day. Or something like that. I bought two pairs. $18/pair!!
All worth it.
So far, I have had clothing drying from the shower drying rod all day every day from the moment we boarded. I have been alternating woolite with shampoo for washing clothes. I'm almost out of woolite
I could not have managed on just the two pair of ExOfficio underwear, but it is close
Yes, I am using Ovrclkd's trick of rolling the freshly washed clothes in a towel and stepping on it to kick start the drying process. It helps
Sunscreen was a concern for us. T's favorite brand is not one they allow in carry-on luggage (no checks for two plane changes!). We hit Whole Foods before we left and found something we could both stand to smell that was 3oz
But T hates cream sunscreen. So in Barbados, he found a grocery and his usual spray brand. I've been using the cream, and he uses his usual. Every day. Generously. We are almost out of both containers. ...!!! His usual spray bottle lasts us a month or two of rollerblading weekends. We hope to get a single additional use out of both bottles, tomorrow in Martinique
