Have I mentioned that I have a fear of water? Yeah, evidently my brothers were really terrible about watching their little sister when in the water. I vividly remember two near-drowning experiences. My parents saved me in both instances. "G---, Get your sister!" He had been just inches out of my fingertip reach as I went down for the 15th time.
But the fear of water lingers and means that even with a tremendously nice snorkel, I spend the first five minutes underwater hyperventilating because I cannot convince myself I can actually breathe
