on the train from Portland to Seattle

Trains seem so old fashioned... But no bag check. I brought on TWO bottles of liquid. No fight for overhead luggage space... And the scenery is spectacular! We have done this as a drive in previous years, but the train is way more fun.

Pretty! And yes, more interesting than what one sees from a plane. I enjoy train travel. Sadly, I finally convinced DH to give it a try a couple of years ago and our car had one of the most obnoxious child-passengers I've ever encountered. So no more train for my family trips.
