Chocolate woes

I'd been looking forward to it all week.  If I am in California, I'm going by the ScharffenBerger Chocolate Factory.  Lovely place.  Went earlier in the year.  Stocked up.  But I'm out of chocolate now.

12:50pm  Left work.  In theory, it would take me 45 minutes to get there.  I needed to be back at the airport (near my starting point) by 3:30pm.

1 hour later (which translates to traffic frustration), arrived at the factory.  *sigh*  5 minutes available to grab the chocolate and get back in the car.

Spent 15 minutes searching fruitlessly for parking.  *whine*  It wasn't like this last time!!!

Gave up and drove back to the airport.  1 hour and 25 minutes later (more considerable frustration and a little panic), I make it to the airport.   Without the gas I needed to turn in the rental car.

*more grinding of teeth*

Did I mention that I skipped lunch to go to SharffenBerger?  And that airports have nothing I can eat?  And airplanes no longer allow me to bring water on board?  And the planes only serve a tiny  glass of water to economy class?  No matter how many hours the flight.

No chocolate.

Hungry. 

Really thirsty.

Splitting headache with full nausea from hunger and thirst.

Bleh.

Most airlines I've flown on will bring you another drink if you ring the flight attendant's bell and ask for one. Under the circumstances, I wouldn't have any qualms about being a nuisance.

It didn't even occur to me. I'm such a good little sheep. You are right. Next time, that is exactly what I will do.
