Last weekend

We were social. One of my very old friends came to town Thursday night. We drank too much and stayed up late talking. I took Friday off to hang out with her. She addicted me to a new word search game on my phone (curse her!). We found Wonder Woman lego minifigures and took her to the local craft recycling store (my favorite place to pick up paint supplies). She is starting a new job today and we talked a lot about jobs and happiness and work-life philosophies. It was fantastic.
We took naps. Naps! I love naps. We took a Friday and a Saturday nap. Ah, naps, sweet sweet naps!
We went to see a movie! In an actual regular theater! It was weird. I don't think I've been in a traditional theater in a few years. We watched the new Spiderman movie. It was fun. Not spectacular, but fun. It meshed very well with the current Marvel universe. I noticed that while waiting for the after-credits scene no less than EIGHT (annoying) people in front of us could not bear to be without their BRIGHTLY SHINING phones lighting up faces in that irritating way. Gah. Humans.
We did lawn work! Sunday (after my friend was gone, as I would not torture her this way) we got up and pulled weeds in the unexpectedly (relative) cool weather. I tried out overclkd's suggestion on rehydration water (with salt and agave nectar). I didn't get a dehydration headache, which could have been the water or the cooler weather. Either way, win! Then we did normal weekend things like drop off the recycling, grocery shop, and have dinner with family. It was pretty peaceful.
