Day 1 - 12.5 hours driving to Albuquerque

Day 2 - Meet with a realtor. Find items previously forgotten at G's house. Drop off items that should go in the estate sale (last trip they were easier/ faster to just take the whole box and sort through it at home). Call gas company and pledge the estate's money to keep the heat on (electric, water, and insurance had no such fees and thanked me for a new address to send the bill to. Gas company required extensive PROOF and a fee for the privilege. Gah. When I called AGAIN to protest they said I should be grateful, the usual practice is to just turn it off in 15 days. Grrr!!!!). Meet lawyer, hopefully get Letters Testamentory. Meet estate seller. Clear out of house to give E space/time, dinner with friends.

Day 3 - Mostly a repeat of previous day. Add a funeral. Add selling G's truck. Add a massage from my very favorite massage therapist at the end of the day. This shining light is keeping me going, looking forward to it.

Day 4 - Meet another realtor. Pack truck. Drive home.

When people say "I'm sorry about your loss." I hear that they are talking about something in the past. I have to grit my teeth, because this painful marathon of a nightmare seems unending.

*deep breaths* I need to think positive thoughts.

T is tireless and amazing. He drives the entire trip, both ways, and lets me work.

Our friends are fantastic. Time spent researching. Last night M dropped everything to get me a critical (to today's meetings) key. The upcoming massage. This past year through now would have been a LOT worse without their often extremely practical support.

I'm dreaming of a day when T can suggest I spend time in the porch petting the cat.... and it doesn't sound like One More Task in my neverending to-do list.
