going home
Aug. 7th, 2014 07:38 amIt has been a long trip. It could have been worse in many many ways.
These last few days flew by. Short nights of sleep, short days of being data analyst wizard in front of a room full of "Can you do this?... Oh... Let us think about it for a few minutes.... Could you add THAT to the graph?" It was a bit crazy but I did glance up and was surprised to discover it was the end of the work day three days in a row.
I'm looking forward to home. My husband. My closet. My husband. My cat. My house. My husband. My frig. Taking a weekend off and watching movies... Sleeping in my own bed! It all sounds good.
I get two whole weeks at home. Two whole weeks! *roll eyes* Ok, so the next trip is only to CA. .... Actually I'm traveling as much of the next 6 weeks as not traveling, but it is all in the US. At least I can talk to my husband from reasonably close time zones using my cell phone instead of Skype. Yeah, I'm burnt out on this travel thing. I'm ready to get bored with my house for a long while. That might happen.... Um... I'm not sure when. The travel in this direction is not going to happen again for at least a month, possibly more.
