This weekend
Sep. 21st, 2013 10:13 pmMy aunt asked me this morning what we have done or plan on doing this weekend. "Oh, nothing much."
Friday was my first Friday at home on my own in many many many weeks. I drank a lot of wine, cooked chicken and mushrooms and fancy pasta. And then made a full batch of my ginger ale. I went through my t-shirt drawers to make space for the ones I actually can and do wear. I started making a dent on my snail-mail bills and paperwork.
Saturday I weeded the back yard (it rained! Wet ground opportunity must not be overlooked!). T treated all of our leather coats and boots. I renewed my gym membership for the year. We took a nap. We spent several hours at a friend's end-of-summer party (which had fanTAStic weather!). Right now T is watching football (a strange ritual by Texas men. Don't insult it or them in their presence. They become irrational about it.) on TV.
Tomorrow we plan on sleeping in, a not-to-be-ignored luxury.... Then we are going to a small local ren faire. T plans on wearing a utilikilt, and I can tell he is looking forward to it.
