new watering restrictions
Oct. 8th, 2011 12:29 amMy city decided that the appropriate time to tell us that there are new watering restrictions is 12:10am. Seriously. My home phone rings with EMERGENCY MESSAGE recording at 12:10am. Exactly how is this an appropriate time? I'm pretty sure this must be illegal.
Oh, yes, and they didn't explain the new restrictions. I went to the website earlier to see them.
The short version is: Absolutely no watering under any circumstances.
No hand watering. No washing of cars. Professional car washing companies are closed indefinitely. No outside watering of any kind, including watering of foundations. NO WATERING AT ALL.
This is Stage 3 restrictions. I've never lived under restrictions this strict. I have to wonder about Stage 4.... So I go and read the documentation. Which is confusing. Stage 4 looks like no watering at all, there are a few narrow exceptions for Stage 3. Though I notice that my local city pages do not mention these exceptions at all. Hmmm...
It would be nice if I could go back to sleep now.
