More michief in peppermint
Jun. 21st, 2011 09:44 amSo you remember the archeological find? And then that revenge is a dish best served cold?
Two weekends ago T & I had two family reunions and needed to put me on a plane Sunday morning. Raaga123 and Chikuru decided to hold their beginning of summer party. We were not going to make it. But then my family failed on the planning Saturday and so we went shopping for the party. T bought a lovely bag of peppermint patties to leave on Raaga123's counter. Just to freak her out. *grin* We weren't going to stay long enough for him to do real mischief.
So then the family got herded by my ever-capable aunt and there was no visit to the party.
Thus T got left with a complete bag of peppermint patties for an entire week while I was working in California. Time AND opportunity... *sigh*
So I returned this past Saturday. And Sunday morning we went to brunch with a friend. We drove my fancy sports car. In the parking lot, T pulled the water bottles out so I could put up the sun shade. As I pulled the visor down to hold the sunshade, a peppermint patty fell out.
I SWEAR I have driven this car recently. No peppermint patties then! I checked the sealed compartments and found two more peppermint patties. T explained about time and a large bag of peppermint patties... Of course in HIS version of the story, I didn't call him back Thursday evening to wish him good night and he was LONELY. *sigh*
He says the most recent bag (!) is not hidden in my clothes. It is not in the other cars, as they sit in the driveway (too hot to be safe).
I've scoured the house and only found six, one of which he claims was from the first pass. He says I will find some now, and others I will not find for YEARS. And Years. And possibly several moves.
I don't know whether to feel loved, frustrated, or sad. I'm going mostly with the loved.
