Finally seeing cooler weather!
Oct. 13th, 2006 08:17 pm*dance around the lawn* Cooler weather! Yes! Today it only got up into the 80s. I drove around town with the top down just to appreciate it.
And then I mowed the lawn.
Yes, I know, it doesn't sound that great, but (1) It meant I got my exercise for the day even though my workout partners bailed on me (2) The lawn got mowed (3) I didn't have to stop and chug water every 10 minutes like I usually do just to keep from collapsing from heat exhaustion. (4) I spent time with the cat! The cat seemed to think this is a Good Thing.
They say that the effects of this cool front will only last a day, and then it will heat up again. I had to take advantage while I had a chance.
