Mumbai is different than Bangalore.

The roads are less crazy. Fewer potholes, more traffic lights, concrete barriers between traffic going in different directions.

I felt safe going walking outside alone. I wandered up and down the street a bit and took pictures. I stopped walking when the sidewalk ended.

There is a grocery store next to my hotel. A. Grocery. Store. I had never seen one in India. It looks like a pretty large one in England. Last night after work I went in and bought five one liter bottles of Aquafina. The line to pay was insane, but having water is worth it.

T and I agreed that the pitcher of water in the hotel room is dubious, and the glasses clearly not trustworthy. And how would I take it with me to work. Grocery store water bottles is clearly the solution. I was not the only foreigner in line.

Indeed. I got my follow-up hep B shot this morning (delayed from the original yesterday appointment, when I was still flying) and they were horrified at the description of the water pitcher and glasses in the hotel room in Mumbai. Don't drink from the pitcher! was firmly supported.

Yep, so the water at the grocery store was a real find.
