Last Friday night
Oct. 6th, 2010 04:46 amMy very nice engineer friend (in Taiwan) took me out to dinner with his wife. This restaurant turned out to be right next to the ocean. So fresh that we went walking to see it (the ocean, not the live food) after dinner.
I asked him if this was a typical meal. He said "Yes." Totally ordinary.

I don't like lobster. Not that I DISlike it, it just doesn't taste good enough to me to merit the effort of getting it out of the shell. Until this one. Oh. My. God. It was AMAZING! Now I'm going to still not eat lobster, but just because nothing else can measure up.
If you are looking at the picture and think the center plate looks like mini-octipi? Yeah. They are. Ugh.
.... And yes, now I'm hungry again. Dammit!
