That pesky dateline

My ticket says I will be leaving on October 6.  I know the US is many hours in the past, so I thought I would be arriving on Wednesday October 6.

After my neighbors woke me up (what are they, dancing?!) last night, I did some math.  Um... If I am leaving here at 11pm at night, there is no possible way I can land on the east coast at 5am on the same day.  

I got out of bed and checked the ticket.  Dammit!  I'm getting home on the 7th.

NOT a 28 day trip.  A 29 day trip.  

...*sigh*  Hello from the morning of day 27 (of 29). 

My ibuprofen stash is getting really, really low.  I'm caught between the benefits of hoarding it (yay, still have some) and strangling people around me with my bare hands.  Hmmm....  Decisions, decisions...

*taking another pair of ibuprofen pills*

Since my last trips were almost back-to-back with this one... Yeah, I hope so too. Time at home would be.... Really nice. T tells me I am running out of recording space on the DVR. *smile*

Sadly, if this company liked me (cannot tell at this point), they will ask me again. Ok, that isn't sad. I like repeat business. But they evidently are not big on the early warning. So... I could be off to yet another country next week. Or next month. Or not at all.
