my week in Taiwan

indigo_rose99Sometimes I do not post because I have nothing to say. Nothing exciting is happening to me.
That is not the case this week. I do not post because sleeping is almost more than I can manage.
India is Not Looking Good. I have two very expensive plane tickets. I hate US Airways, they are evil and about as un-customer friendly as it is possible to be and still have planes that sometimes carry people places.
What I do NOT have is a visa to get into India. Yeah, almost forgot that little detail. That little... MOUNTAIN OF PAPERWORK!!! Erg. Which is painful in the US and probably utterly impossible from Taiwan.
Bless my beloved husband, who went to the safety deposit box TWICE and scanned:
my birth certificate
our wedding certificate
my parents' birth certificates
their wedding certificate
See, India wants proof that I am not from any of the countries around them. Dangerous countries. And so they require my birth cerificate, the LONG form. I don't have that. I don't think I ever did. I have a short one, which does not have my parents' race. Thus, their birth cerificates. And marriage certificate.
Perhaps burying them in mountain of paperwork will help...
Plus TWO letters of invitation, plus.... Ugh.
Plus I am trying to actually WORK 12 hours every day.
Ah, sleep, sweet distant sleep...
