Blood Ties, review (no spoilers)

indigo_rose99I have not read Tanya Huff's Blood books. But I have heard of them, and have at least the first couple on my to-read stack. So when I saw Season 1 of Blood Ties in my local Half Price bookstore.... I was willing to watch and see.
Without any knowledge of the books, the series is not too bad. Not the amazing dialog of Buffy, no current special effects. People are a bit too pretty, as is typical on modern television. Stories are all right. Human relationships are.... worth further study. The show has made me take a renewed interest in reading the books.
