book: Voices of Dragons by Carrie Vaughn
Jul. 20th, 2010 07:45 pmIn the past, I have found Vaughn's Kitty books to be worth reading. Not great, but all right. I read this newest book on the basis of that.
Voices of Dragons is aimed at teenagers. In many ways, it felt a lot like McKinley's Dragonhaven. Similar pace of the action, dragon retreats, secrecy, etc. I found both slow in general.
I am not sure that I actually recommend it. It is not bad, but not great or haunting-in-a-good-way. I guess I wanted it to be better than it was. Still, if you like kids books and dragons, there are many worse books out there.
