Organic peaches
Jun. 25th, 2010 10:48 pmDon't the words "organic peaches" conjure up images of fresh sweet yumminess?
So when my good friend
livingdeb explained that her peach tree is producing more peaches than she can harvest and use, I was happy to step in. I plucked them directly off the tree myself. No nasty chemicals!
Are you visualizing fresh sweet yumminess?
Now add a willingness to wash them immediately after getting home, a very sharp knife, a container that can be frozen, and the willingness to slice off non-wormy or black bits from an otherwise really disgusting piece of fruit. Because organic peaches? None of them are perfect.
I am sure there is a life philosophy in here somewhere.
