male voice: Hello, this is ???, calling to ask if you are planning on voting in the April 13 election.

me: Well, I wasn't until this morning when I got an automated phone call asking me to vote for some guy who was... what was it?  Oh, yes.  Pro-life.  DEFINITELY voting against that one.  ...And your spiel?

<dead line silence>

I'm hoping this will get me off that stupid list.

It must be something about living so close to the state capital...NOBODY cares if I vote in anything! But I gotta admit, if on the off-chance anybody should try to call me like that, I am using your script in a heartbeat. Even if it doesn't work and they keep calling, the satisfaction factor is priceless.

By the way, have you noticed that I actually made a livejournal account? What is this world coming to?
