more on hair

We human's learn.[1]  Do something more than once, and we do our best to do it better.  This can even be in spite of our efforts to do an action exactly the same as we did it last time.

Today I did another round of henna on my hair with two important differences:
(1) Entertainment.  I found that the hardest part for me was waiting for the henna to soak into my hair.  Can't read a book.  Can't leave the bathroom.  Gotta wait.  My solution?  Newspaper!  I feel, for once, somewhat up to date.  Did you know that David Carradine is dead?
(2)  Only used half the bar.  So, if I decide it isn't enough... I get to do it again!  The directions actually mentioned that you can do it every day for three days and it lasts a LONG time.

Ok, and then there was a less important difference:  I left the henna on for about an hour this time (vs 20 minutes last time). I think it is more red this time, but still not overwhelming.


1  This is the start of my lecture on "Why we need to randomize our data collection."  My students react to it much better than my previous version, which involved "Because I told you six times it was a Good Thing!" to the gentle tune of me grinding my teeth.
