Not bad. I was worried it would be like so many other recent vampire novels with a romance twist. There has been a string of them that I just cannot work up the energy to like the heroine, even a little bit. But... It was not bad. B, possibly B+. I liked the hero, and sometimes liked the heroine. And only once did the heroine's choices piss me off, and I later decided that the whole dying-in-the-immediate-future meant that she had nothing to lose and could act like an idiot.
I think I will go out of my way to find the sequel. I do not say that about all of them. Vampires and romance alone do not entice me.
