I was worried, prior to watching it. I own the graphic novel. I read and enjoyed it years ago. I'm sure I recommended it to my friends. So I was worried that this movie would be... bad. Would tarnish my time-faded memory of the graphic novel.
It didn't.
Not to say that the movie lived up to the comic. When do they ever? But... If you have never read the graphic novel, or it has been an incredibly long time and your memory of its story has faded, I would recommend the movie. Do NOT read the graphic novel in advance. You know better. Just don't.
Having not read the comic, T really enjoyed the movie. And we both thought it very... timely.
