Time to eat the turkey
Nov. 27th, 2008 11:12 pmEuropeans just look at me strangely when I try to explain Thanksgiving or Black Friday.
There is something satisfying about turkey, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce and something with pumpkin. And family should somehow be involved. It is as if some yearly necessity has been accomplished.
This year I am thankful that W is going out and we have someone hopeful coming in. I am thankful that I can actually manage to live on the income that I wish were larger. I am thankful that nothing personally traumatic or bad has happened recently (no deaths, no maiming).
What are you thankful for?
