A few weeks ago when I got back from the (too-much-food) cruise I took an online survey on "how to lose weight." I was prepared for it would tell me that I should exercise more. What, 7-10 times a week at 30-90 minutes a pop aren't enough? Well, %$^& you!
But it didn't. The quiz answer said that I should continue my regular life (?!?!) and just add something called "acai" to my diet. And then, of course, there was an ad for different ways to buy acai. This led me to suspect that the quiz was entirely designed to sell this stuff. Bleh.
But I looked it up anyway. Wiki didn't mention any weight loss properties, but did say that it is full of nutrients. Antioxidants. Good-for-you stuff. ...Ok, so it sounds like even if it doesn't do me any weight-loss good, it will not be doing me any harm.
So I resolved to try to find some. Which means another trip to Whole Foods. Which I put off indefinitely. Until.... I was in the frozen section of my local grocery store and saw some next to the nothing-added frozen fruit. Hmmm...
I've been adding it to my morning smoothie. Tart.
