I managed to get from Xiamen to Shenzhen with little worse than confusing instructions in English and a severe case of claustrophobia. The people on my plane seemed to have no compunction about touching me in their efforts to get to the exit a little faster. I was hard pressed not to snarl at them, but... I restrained myself. Being a positive representative of my not-too-popular-anyway country, and all that.
