Day 7 of 37: Small adventures
Jul. 12th, 2006 05:21 pmI ate something with spikes. It was brown. I have no idea if it was animal or vegetable. I actually asked "What is this?" The answer was "sea cucumber." She said this at least 3 times, in the hope that my blank look would clear up. Oh, well.
I went walking. Outside. Where there were other people. At first this seemed a bit scary, but the other people did nothing to attack me or even make any moves that seemed threatening. There were some slightly pushy watch vendors, though.
I rode in a taxi. Two of them. I never paid -- someone else did. Perhaps this does not count as a true adventure, since I never took part in the activity that bothers me the most?
Today's exciting plan: Convince the short-order omelet cook this morning to cook my omelet properly. This could be a real challenge, since he doesn't seem to distinguish between "scrambled eggs" and "omelet."
