Vista and the Tick
Apr. 21st, 2008 01:04 amToday we are wiping and reinstalling the OS on my new laptop for the *sigh* third time. In the many hours it takes, we have watched 1.5 seasons of The Tick (animated). It is even funnier then I remembered. The very sad part is that we have discovered that they casually left out episodes to both seasons 1 and 2, one of which was both very funny and necessary to continuity. Evil people!

This reinstall, for instance, T installed ONLY software he has and STILL mine has problems. I could pretty much hear him grinding his teeth from across the room. He even switched out the hardware (switched motherboards) and the problem follows my motherboard. Twice.

Date: 2008-04-21 03:02 pm (UTC)I love the Tick. One of my absolute faves. I'd love to get every single animated episode on DVD. The live action one just kinda sucked.

Date: 2008-04-21 03:11 pm (UTC)But the first season missed one of the more boring episodes, but the second season is missing "Alone Together." It is the 2nd episode of Season 2, and was the one in which Omnipotus (the Galactus look-alike) takes a bite out of the moon. We were pretty pissed when we started noting bites out of the moon in season 2 without having watched that episode. *grrrr* Rumor on the internet has it that it was left out for legal reasons, but no explanation was given.
I notice now that neither DVD box says "The Complete Season" on it. *general glare at the evil people*
The Universe is my buffet table... and what a spread!
Date: 2008-05-06 07:19 pm (UTC)I'm glad we still have many episodes on VHS, but sooner or later those tapes are going to deteriorate *sniffle*. Must convert to DVD!
